Our Inspiration

On August 10, 2006, MoveUp founder Mr. Lethrosne was in an ambulance with his father, who, after suffering an accident and a month in a coma, had been rendered hemiplegic and unable to walk. Looking out of the window of the ambulance, Mr Lethrosne saw parachutists floating through the sky above—free and seemingly weightless.

“The contrast between the weight of the body of my father and the lightness of the human butterflies above us struck me as a new hope for disabled people. The idea was there before my eyes: relieved of its weight, the body can regain function and mobility.”

Inspired by this idea, Mr Lethrosne developed the MoveUp system.

MoveUp System

MoveUp is a mobile support system that gives wheelchair-bound patients the opportunity to stand, move around and perform exercises to strengthen muscles and improve vascularization. The MoveUp system answers to the innate benefit to the human body of being in a natural, standing position.

NEUROLOGY
- Treatment, therapy, rehabilitation, and exercise for patients with neurological damage causing paralysis or otherwise affecting the ability to stand and walk.
TRAUMA ORTHOPEDIC
- Treatment, therapy, rehabilitation, and exercise for patients who have undergone traumatic injuries affecting the ability to stand and walk; particularly useful for patients for whom use of a pool is not an option due to unhealed wounds, infection, or allergy.
- Allows patients who have undergone amputations to stand, allowing for easier positioning of the orthosis and aiding in the process of learning to walk with the new prosthesis.
RETIREMENT HOME
- Opportunity to exercise muscles and improve flood flow for seniors who are wheelchair-bound or sedentary.
